Com­pa­ny suc­ces­sion should be planned at an ear­ly stage – es­pe­cial­ly in the case of medi­um-sized com­pa­nies.

In the in­ter­est of the found­ing fam­i­ly, the val­ues cre­at­ed by com­pa­ny founders can be trans­ferred ei­ther to one or more suc­ces­sors from with­in the com­pa­ny's own ranks or – if suc­ces­sion with­in the fam­i­ly is not an op­tion – to ex­ter­nal pur­chasers. Foun­da­tion so­lu­tions and as­set man­age­ment com­pa­nies are also pos­si­ble.
